Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent

Asimov wrote that “violence is the last refuge of the incompetent.” George W. Bush took us to war long before it was a “last resort.” I’ve got to wonder, then, what does this imply for us as a people, a nation that stands by and watches as the atrocities continue to pile up. But at least public opinion is, at long last, swinging as we start to wake up and realize how much damage has been done. As a country, we are no longer oblivious to the deception, hypocrisy and double-talk this administration has been spewing for the past six years. But will it be enough?
