When I wrote this piece, I felt I was a bit ahead of the curve. There was still some margin of error. But that was months ago. Now, all I can do is point to the continuing tip of the scales as Bush's ratings plummet even further. And then there's the matter of that poll reported by CBS news. No matter how much spin you put on it, that just doesn't look good. Here's a sampling of some other press: RollingStone: The Worst President in History?, Free Press: Bush wins Triple Trifecta as worst president ever, Alternet: Bush: Worst President Ever?. Well, I could go on. It's personally gratifying, but I'm still utterly horrified at where this country has gone.

Just as a complete aside, isn't it odd that searching Google for "worst president ever" puts a link to Biography of President George W. Bush right at the top of the page? I'm not sure what to make of this. Has the Google database somehow made the association? Strange since the word "worst" doesn't even show up on the page. Or has Google been co-opted for nefarious political means?

All I see here is more liberal nonsense piled higher and higher. To call President Bush the worst President ever is ignore history. Remember Lyndon Baines Johnson? He is the one who escalated the war by sending 500,000 troops to Vietnam and then lost his nerve when the polls turned against him. Remember Jimmy Carter? His economic record makes the current times seem like a record boom!
As far as the war goes, Franklin Delano Roosevelt wished he could have done as well as George Bush. Considering the fiascos at Pearl Harbor, the Philpines, Guam, and Wake Island, it is amazing the man was reelected in 1944. Yet no one has called him the worst president ever!
I truly believe that if George Bush had been a Democrat there would all kinds of support for him. The fact that liberals would rather attack him because he is a Republican shows the hypocrites they are!
