160GB in my lap
I’ve run out of space. It’s happening already, isn’t it? Well, not to worry, MCE and a handful of others have a solution. For about $400 I can upgrade my PowerBook with a 160 gigabyte hard drive in the convenience of my home (or for the less technically inclined, you might want to send your PowerBook out to MacService for same-day round trip service).
The new drive sports an 8MB read/write cache with burst throughput that clocks in at 100MB per second. MCE claims the drive could boost performance significantly over stock drives. And I was just reminiscing about my first 5MB (yes, megabyte) hard drive the size of a storage box.
