OCMS
It’s taken a mere two or three months longer than planned, but I’m finally ready to update the Boss Logic web site and officially announce our Open Content Management System (OCMS). Seemingly simple tasks — such as putting together a few web pages or selecting the appropriate open source license — have proven to absorb much more effort than anticipated.
Check out the BOSS logic web site for details on OCMS and its companion product, Keeper™. Both projects are well underway but it’s going to be a while before Keeper™ makes it out into the real world. First things first: Building the underlying technology necessary to power the product. That means getting OCMS up to date and fully documented.
In the coming few weeks I’ll be setting up a project task tracking system and collaborative wiki, post ongoing designs and pending tasks and hopefully lay out some kind of roadmap. As with most open source projects based heavily on volunteer efforts, my own included, we won’t be discussing a “schedule” so much as a set of goals.
