This recent post on the Fishbowl is a good read. The synopsis:
All forums start off good, enjoy a “honeymoon period” in which they continue to be good, and then steadily decline… from the point of view of each individual observer.
The more I think about the post (read it, it’s a good one!) the more I’ve come to agree. It’s true, whether we are talking about online intellectual discussion groups, my favorite blog or WOW guilds.
