Mail doesn’t work
I’m really, really getting sick of how bad Apple’s Mail application is. Of course, I’m writing this after the third crash today, so I’m a bit more annoyed than usual.
Let me be clear, though: I love Apple Mail. It’s ability to index, quickly search, support virtual folders and treat all my mail accounts as — essentially — a single source is fantastic. It’s the best mail application on the planet as far as I’m concerned.
Except that it doesn’t work very well — perhaps it’s the size of my mail folders (several gigabytes, I suspect) or the way I use it, but it crashes at least once a day. I keep clicking the “report to Apple” button in hopes that they’ll actually make some improvements or — gasp! — make it totally stable. Then it really will be the best mail application available today.
