Back from vacation…
I had thought there would be lots of time to write new blog entries while on vacation but, alas, it didn’t work out. We just returned from something of a whirlwind tour around Chicago — the planetarium, museums and Navy Pier in the downtown area kept us pretty well exhausted. That, and running up to Michigan and visiting with relatives.
Now it’s time to hunker down and start working on my huge backlog. I’ll probably be moving the blog over to MoveableType or WordPress pretty soon. Blojsom is a great little package and probably more than enough for your average OS/X user, but I’ve bigger plans for it (such as tying the weblog into the Boss Logic web site).
That most likely means getting MySQL up and running on our server. Well, more specifically, running and properly configured — it comes pre-installed with Tiger but I can’t seem to create a database. Permission problems. More on that later.
Speaking of which my next project is to get some kind of introductory Boss Logic web page together (it’s just a placeholder now) — the official announcement of what we’ll be doing in OS/X. That should happen this week, if all goes according to plan. (A joke comes to mind, “how do you make God laugh?” The punchline is apropos, “you tell him your plans.”)
